Salesboom was the first CRM vendor to bring Workforce Management solutions to CRM systems that span many departments in the organization. Starting with Sales and Marketing, followed by Quote-to-Cash, e-commerce, Support, Billing & Invoicing, ERP, Employee Relationship Management, and Partner Relationship Management, to deliver real-time alerts, reports, dashboards, and KPIs to drive business decisions with data that spanned the entire company.
This was only because we set up and trained customers in-house, and we had the built-to-suit model of software delivery where we update our software quarterly, write our code, and build in customizations and integrations on spec for our clients. They asked us to add Quotes, Projects, Contracts, etc so we built it as a pre-integrated part of the CRM, to support Sales users with their tools to get orders processed. This was in 2004.
This also allowed us to build solutions to the end user level, as well as to the organization level, to make the system easy to use, and powerful at the same time. This drives customers for life, which drives innovation cycles for our customers.

With our hands-on approach to delivering what every single customer requires, we re-defined Cloud CRM over 20 years ago, and now the market considers these features almost commonplace in CRM Systems.
However, this knowledge of what works and what doesn’t when training people on Enterprise software, laid the foundation for Generative AI to take it to the next level.
Salesboom was the first to build a pre-integrated suite of solutions that is a CRM system and SFA system, with ERP functionality added on, rather than an ERP system with CRM features added on.

We were first by decades. But it was too early. Then each piece of the puzzle became its industry and blew up, so we built integrations with all apps, became platform agnostic, and API-driven, and built plugins for Outlook, Gmail, Zapier, and over 100 other apps.
Then came Generative AI, and it all became relevant. As usual, Salesboom was ahead of its time. But we have spent time learning from our customers and investing everything into R&D, in stealth mode. Connecting the dots of how to build and sell a platform that the world doesn’t know it needs yet can take some time and effort.
Luckily, we set up and train customers in-house, and we build to suit custom features, integrations, apps, and now AI.

The power of OpenAI, Google Gemini, Meta.AI, Grok, Anthropic, Claude, and the myriad of public and private LLMs and APIs create an amazing opportunity to leverage each as a platform unto itself, and build and integrate into each, as the use case dictates, and will produce the safest, most ethical, and most efficient and elegant solution.
What is needed is Ethical solutions, created as a team between customer and vendor, built ethically, and managed over time to bring continuous innovation.
