Admin Hub Overview

What Is the Organization Administration Section?

Your central control hub within Salesboom CRM — all critical configuration tools in one place, from regional preferences to advanced portal customization and technical support permissions.

No More Menu Hunting

Without a centralized admin hub, configuring currency, language, portals, and support access means navigating through scattered menus — wasting time and creating configuration errors.

Inconsistent Localization

When regional settings are not centrally managed, different users may operate with mismatched currencies, languages, or time zones — causing data inaccuracies and reporting confusion.

Unbranded Customer Portal

A generic self-service portal with no custom logo, header, or redirect configuration undermines brand trust and creates a disjointed customer experience that reflects poorly on your business.

Disk Storage Blindspots

Without visibility into storage consumption per module, administrators cannot proactively manage data growth, leading to unexpected capacity issues and degraded CRM performance.

Uncontrolled Support Access

Allowing open-ended technical support access without expiry controls poses security risks. Without time-bound permissions, your CRM data may be accessible longer than intended.

Outdated Organization Profile

Stale organization details — outdated phone numbers, incorrect names — propagate across CRM records and customer-facing communications, eroding professionalism and accuracy.

Solution Overview

The Organization Administration Panel Solves It All

Whether you're setting up your CRM for the first time or fine-tuning an existing configuration, the Organization Administration panel ensures all critical settings are accessible in one place — no hunting through multiple menus.

Configure redirect URLs for logout and login errors, personalize the portal with branded HTML header and footer, and upload your company logo — all from one portal management screen.
  • Set custom Logout URL and Error URL for seamless user redirection
  • Enter valid HTML in Header and Footer Text areas for brand consistency
  • Upload your company logo via the Logo Section Upload File field
  • Click Save to apply or Cancel to discard changes instantly

The Disk Storage page displays the number of records and storage used (MB) per tab, giving administrators full visibility into where data is concentrated. Manage custom fields directly from this page.
  • View per-tab record counts and storage consumption in MB
  • Select field types from drop-down (cannot be changed after creation)
  • Mark fields as Required to enforce data completeness
  • Edit, rename, or delete custom fields with confirmation prompts

The Organization Profile page displays your core company details — name, phone, fax, and other identifying information. Keeping this current ensures accurate records across your CRM and customer-facing communications.
  • Navigate to the Organization Profile page via the Edit link
  • Click Edit to enter or modify organization details
  • Click Save to apply updates or Cancel to discard changes

Securely authorize temporary, time-bound login access for Salesboom's technical team when you need hands-on assistance. You control exactly when access expires.
  • Set a specific date and time for access expiry
  • Salesboom personnel may access your account only until that time
  • Leave the date/time field empty to grant zero access
  • Revoke access anytime by clearing the field and saving

Portal Customization

Customizing Your Customer Self-Service Portal

The Customer Self-Service Portal Management tool gives administrators full control over how customers experience the portal — from branding to error handling.

Localization Settings

Configuring Default Currency, Language, and Time Zone

Salesboom supports global operations with flexible localization settings. Administrators can independently configure the default currency, language, and time zone for the entire organization.

Set Default Currency

Navigate to the Customize Currency page via the Set Default Currency link. Click Change, select your preferred currency from the drop-down menu, and click Save to apply it as the organization-wide default across all relevant CRM modules.

Set Default Language

Navigate to the Customize Language page via the Set Default Language link. Click Change, choose your company's default language from the drop-down menu, and click Save to apply it organization-wide for all users.

Set Default Time Zone

Navigate to the Choose Time Zone page via the Set Default Time Zone link. Click Change, select the appropriate time zone, and click Save. This ensures all timestamps and scheduled activities reflect the correct local time for your organization.

Admin Mindset

What Every CRM Administrator Wants, Needs & Fears

Exceptional administration starts with understanding what operators truly want, need, and fear. Salesboom's Organization Admin panel is designed around all three.

Admin Wants: Simplicity & Speed

Administrators want to find every configuration tool in one place without navigating through multiple menus. They want intuitive controls, instant saves, and clear confirmation that changes have been applied.

How we deliver: A single Organization Administration hub links directly to every setting — currency, language, time zone, portal, storage, and support access — all accessible with one click.
🔒

Admin Needs: Control & Accuracy

Administrators need precise control over who can access the system, what data is stored, and how the platform is configured at the organizational level. Accuracy in regional settings is non-negotiable for global teams.

How we deliver: Time-bound support access, per-tab storage visibility, and organization-wide localization settings give admins the granular control they require to maintain a reliable CRM environment.
🛡

Admin Fears: Mistakes & Security Gaps

Administrators fear making irreversible configuration mistakes — like setting the wrong field type — or inadvertently leaving technical support access open indefinitely, creating a security exposure.

How we deliver: Clear warnings prevent irreversible actions (field type lock). Empty date fields mean zero support access. Confirmation prompts before deletes protect against accidental data loss.
Storage & Data Management

Monitoring and Managing Your CRM Disk Storage

The Disk Storage page provides a transparent view of your data usage, helping administrators track storage consumption before it becomes a problem.

Per-Tab Storage Visibility

The Disk Storage page displays the number of records and Storage Used (MB) for each tab, so you always know exactly where your data is concentrated across your CRM modules.

Custom Field Type Selection

Select a field type from the drop-down menu when creating custom fields. Important: field type cannot be changed after creation, so choose carefully before saving.

Required Field Enforcement

Check the Required checkbox when creating a custom field to make it mandatory across all records. This enforces data completeness and prevents incomplete entries from entering your CRM.

Field Rename & Update

Use the Edit option to rename an existing custom field, then click Update to save the new name. This keeps your field labels accurate as your business processes evolve.

Safe Field Deletion

Use the Delete option to remove a custom field. A confirmation alert will appear before deletion to protect against accidental data loss — giving admins a safety net before committing to removal.

Save or Cancel Changes

Every modification on the Disk Storage page is confirmed by clicking Save, or abandoned cleanly with Cancel, which returns you to the Custom Tabs and Fields page without saving anything.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions: Organization Administration

Answers to the most common questions from Salesboom CRM administrators about managing organization settings.

No. Once a field type is selected and saved in the Disk Storage / Custom Tabs and Fields section, it cannot be changed. Choose your field type carefully before saving, as this setting is permanent.

Simply return to the Grant Salesboom Technical Support Login Permissions page and clear the date and time field, then click Save. Leaving the field empty revokes the permission entirely, preventing any login from Salesboom support personnel.

Go to Customer Self-Service Portal Management and scroll to the Logo Section. Use the Upload File field to upload your logo image. Once uploaded, reference the image in your Header or Footer HTML code to display it in your portal.

Yes. These are organization-wide defaults that apply across all user accounts. Individual users may have their own overrides depending on their profile settings, but the organization defaults serve as the baseline for the entire CRM instance.

If you've configured an Error URL in the Customer Self-Service Portal Management settings, the customer will automatically be redirected to that URL. This allows you to display a branded error page or instructions rather than a generic system error message.

Yes. The Portal Configuration section accepts valid HTML in both the Header and Footer Text areas. You can use this to add branding elements, navigation links, custom messaging, or even embed your uploaded logo image using a standard HTML img tag.

Click the Edit Organization Information link in the Organization Administration panel to navigate to the Organization Profile page. Click the Edit button to enter or modify your organization name, phone, fax, and other details, then click Save to apply your updates.
